The Bulldogs ravage the Braves in an offensive blowout
< < Back toCIRCLEVILLE, OH (WOUB)- The Bloom Carroll Bulldogs absolutely dominated the Logan Elm Braves.
‘The Bulldogs destroyed the Braves undefeated season giving them their first loss of the season. Both teams currently stand with a 6-1 record.
Starting out the game strong, the Bulldogs dove right in and within three minutes wide receiver Tyler Harrison completed a six-yard pass to tight end Michael Steveson to score the first touchdown of the game.
Within the next five minutes, Bloom Carroll would have another run in the end zone yet again to score another touchdown. All thanks to running back Dylan Armentrout with a two-yard rushing touchdown.
This first quarter helped to set up the culture of the rest of the game.
The second quarter was very back and forth with each team running the ball, but neither were able to make a decent play. Finally, Bloom Carroll had their first down with seven minutes to go with the ball on their own thirty-seven-yard line.
With three minutes to go, the Bulldogs turned over possession after a missed field goal. With Logan Elm having the ball on their ten-yard line.
The first half finishes with a score of 14-0.
The Braves came out in the third quarter fired up and ready to go. Wide receiver Cameron Smith scores a touchdown for Logan Elm within the first minute to kick start the second half.
The Bulldogs were not going to let the Braves get away with scoring. Quarterback Ethan Thanthanavong scored a three-yard rushing touchdown to get back at the Braves.
To top that play Stevenson intercepted a Logan Elm pass with the ball on the Braves forty-seven-yard line. Then Armentrout took the ball and scored a thirty-seven-yard rushing touchdown to sink Logan Elm further into the mud.
Bloom Carroll was not done yet. Heading into the fourth quarter the Bulldogs scored one more touchdown to stick it to the Braves.
The rest of the quarter would be a back-and-forth game where neither team would score any more points.
The game finishes with Bloom Carroll taking the win and knocking Logan Elm off of their high horse with a final score of 35-6.
