On June 1, the MSPIB Farmers Market is hosting the Kids Kickoff To Summer from 9:00 to noon.  The market is located on the Roy Rogers Esplanade on Chillicothe Street in Portsmouth, Ohio.

The Kids Kickoff To Summer is sponsored by Wright’s Farm Center at 430 Second Street in Portsmouth.

Kids and families are invited enjoy flower, vegetable, and herb planting to go. Pots, soil, and seeds are provided free of charge. The biodegradable pots will be ready to take home and plant in the vegetable or flower garden.

Art activities include sidewalk chalk drawing, coloring, and creating glitter slime from cornstarch and water.

The MSPIB Farmers Market is open Saturdays from 9:00am to noon during the season.  Closing Day is October 5.

The market will be closed on the following days:
May 25 – In Observation of Memorial Day Weekend
August 31 – For Portsmouth’s River Days Festival & Parade
