Lawrence Co. Man In Hospital After Fire

A Lawrence County man is in the hospital after a fire at his Chesapeake home last night.
State Fire Marshal's Spokesman Shane Cartmill says the fire started in the kitchen of the home on County Road 3.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The fire was discovered by an off-duty EMS employee who was driving by.
Cartmill says she helped pull the injured man from the home with the help of a neighbor.
