The Wonderfool – 2024 NMF Sycamore Sessions

NELSONVILLE, Ohio (WOUB) – As the lights shining up at the trees cascade off of the leaves, more people at the Nelsonville Music Festival gather around for The Wonderfool. The band performed “indie folk music to bookend your day.”

From Columbus, OH The Wonderfool has released five albums, including Shiner in 2021 and their most recent album OLD PAL. Matt Vinson is an Ohio University alumni and the creative force behind the band. He’s also a member of the chart-topping band Caamp.

The Wonderfool performed the most songs from their album Shiner, including the single Cool Shade. They also performed some unreleased music and covers by Rex Orange County and Middle Brother.

The Sycamore Sessions are presented by the Nelsonville Music Festival in collaboration with WOUB Public Media and the Ohio University Scripps College of Communication’s School of Media Arts and Studies. The videos are produced by Media Arts and Studies students under the guidance of Director Andie Walla, Host Josh Antonuccio, WOUB Producers Nathan Cain and Emily Votaw, and personnel from Stuart’s Opera House and the Nelsonville Music Festival. All performances took place during the 2024 Nelsonville Music Festival, which is a production of Stuart’s Opera House.
