Today we spotlight Bradley Cunningham, a WOUB Culture contributor who began writing for us earlier this year. Check out all his work for WOUB Culture at this link.

Bio: Bradley Cunningham, MA Candidate studying Infographics & Publication Design. Thank you to Emily at WOUB for this opportunity to share some of my favorite tracks from this semester!
Top songs I’ve been listening to:
‘Until I Drown’ by Tears for Fears
This song spoke to me because it feels so different from the rest of their catalog. I remember hearing it for the first time and having to check if it was actually Tears for Fears. To me, this song feels like winter. So, as bleak as it is, I like to take afternoon walks with it on to combat seasonal depression.
Nail in Your Hand by Citizen
I hit a point where my playlist was stale. I ended up hearing this song on a recommended playlist, and I fell right in love. To me, this song sounds like this generation’s take on Nine Inch Nails’ Broken EP.
Life Worth Living by Laurel
Not my usual cup of tea, but to me, this song just stood out. I think lyrically it is sad, but it combats that sadness with a beat that lifts you right up. I think any song that physically moves you and emotionally makes you wonder is perfect.
Watchin by Nicholas Creus
This is just an instrumental. Very popular TikTok audio. I think everyone sees a different memory when they hear this, and I think that’s so powerful.
Cut by Sweet Pill
This song haunts you. It’s like the singer is screaming at a mirror. Another bleak one, I apologize.
