First day of the beginner Scottish dance series

Want to get your brain and body moving and meet new friends? Scottish Country Dance is a lively social dance—think contra, but with a bit more footwork and a lot of fun.
Start at the very beginning. No partner or experience needed. If you can walk briskly, you can dance!
This 10-week class meets Sundays at the Athens Community Center: September 13 – November 22. (No class on October 11.)
Each week builds on the last, so this is a full series rather than drop-in. (Missing one class is totally fine—you’ll be able to catch up.)
Time:
• 2–3 pm – Beginner class
• 3–4 pm – Optional bonus hour for intermediate dancers
• 2–3 pm – Beginner class
• 3–4 pm – Optional bonus hour for intermediate dancers

Where: Athens Community Center, 701 E State St, Athens, OH.
What to wear: Comfortable clothes you can move in. Sneakers or ghillies work great. Dresses, kilts, shorts, or yoga pants are all welcome.
