Armed Suspect At Large Following Nelsonville Bank Robbery

The robbery happened at Nelsonville Citizens Bank Thursday around 1:45 p.m.
Nelsonville police say they are trying to get some images from the scene's cameras for a better look at the suspect.
The suspect is still at large and is considered a threat to the public's safety.
There is still no word on if any money was taken.
Athens County sheriff's deputies are investigating a bank robbery at this hour after an armed suspect fled the Nelsonville Citizens Bank earlier this afternoon.
Sheriff Pat Kelly says his officers are on the scene of the robbery on September Street, which was reported around 1:45 p.m.
No word if any money was taken.
Kelly says the suspect was last seen with a handgun and is considered a threat to the public's safety.
