Muskingum University can now count a set of valuable reference books among their collection.

The donation comes from the Cambridge chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

The books are a set of bibliographies that contain information about American women in the Revolutionary Era between the years 1766 and 1790.

Muskingum University Library Director Sheila Ellenberger says the books are a great part of history and are very important to the University.

"We feel deeply honored that we were considered as a place to deposit these books and to make them available," says Ellenberger.

Ellenberger also says that there are only 85 institutions worldwide that have access to this set of books.

She adds that Muskingum University is the only institution of higher education to obtain this set in the state of Ohio.

"We are very pleased to have the publicity around them, but also do to this service, and to recognize the importance that women played in that particular area in the history of the United States," she says.

Ellenberger says these books will be available to all who visit the library, but taking them out of the library will require special permission.
