Forestry Plan To Benefit Route 33 Corridor
< < Back toState forestry officials are seeking input on an area forestry plan from woodland owners in the Hocking Hills area of Southeast Ohio.
The Division of Forestry for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources is inviting owners with two to 10 acres of woods and area cabin owners to a public meeting Dec. 6 in Logan.
The state also is asking them to complete a survey that will be used to help frame the forestry management plan.
Forestry Division Chief Robert Boyles says the state wants to provide landowners with options to increase their benefits from woodlands and provide a framework to address forest loss, fragmentation and other threats to forest health.
The plan will be designed to benefit landowners in Logan and several other areas along the U.S. 33 corridor.
