New Funding To Help Small Businesses In The Region
< < Back to new-funding-help-small-businesses-regionFour Southeast Ohio nonprofits focused on economic development opportunities will be getting funding to help microenterprise companies in the region.
Microenterprise is a business with five or fewer employees, including the owner.
The four agencies: the Appalachian Center for Economic Networks in Athens County; The Southern Perry Incubation for Entrepreneurs in Perry County; the Community Action Committee of Pike County; and the Vinton County Economic Development Board will receive some of the $595,000 in funding approved by the State Controlling Board on Monday.
These agencies provide training, counseling and loans for businesses.
The money is for community development and comes the Ohio Housing Trust Fund.
