Jackson will be making his way back to Ohio to play with the Canton Cougars. In his time at Ohio, the 6'1" product of El Camino College threw for 48 career touchdowns, while also breaking the Ohio passing TD record with 38. Jackson also threw for 4,446 yards and ran for 699 yards in his career wearing the green and white.

The UIFL began its inaugural season in February of 2011, and is commissioned by former New York Giant and University of Kentucky quarterback Jared Lorenzen, who also plays in the league for the Northern Kentucky River Monsters.
Jackson's new team desperately needs him. In the franchise's first season, Canton won just one game, and was outscored 782-490.
