Athens Commissioners Adopt Budget

Athens County now has a 2013 budget.
Commissioner Larry Payne says it calls for spending of "nearly $12.7 million."
Payne says "This is just above the 2010 level."
He also says "Most employees will receive a raise for the first time in over three years."
Commissioner Lenny Eliason says the budget is temporary and a permanent one will be put in place in January.
