Greenup County To Remain A Dry County

Greenup County Kentucky will remain a dry county.
Voters decided Tuesday not to allow alcohol sales in within the county.
Greenup has been dry for more than 50 years.
The continued ban on alcohol sales passed with 4,872 voting in favor and 3,830 voting to end the ban.
Supporters of the law say it would boost the county's economy while those against it cited moral reasons.
By law, another vote on the issue cannot come up again for three years.
