Twin City Opera House Hosts Comedian Drew Hastings

The auditorium of the Twin City Opera House will be filled with laughter when comedians Drew Hastings and Jeff Bodart take the stage on Friday, March 8 at 8 p.m.
Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Hastings moved to Los Angeles in the mid-1990s, where his acting talent earned him a number of guest-starring roles in several Hollywood television pilots.
He then returned to Ohio to reconnect with his Midwestern roots. He is currently the Mayor of Hillsboro, Ohio, and also owns and operates a cattle farm in the southern Ohio town.
Hastings is regularly booked on network talk shows for personal appearances and is a member of an elite group of performers to have received a standing ovation on The Tonight Show.
Hastings' storied and colorful life has been the inspiration for several one-person shows. His fictitious Tony Robbins-tinged character "Jack Freeman" of The Business of Living found an immediate cult following in Los Angeles.
"Jack" soon caught the attention of the nationally syndicated Bob and Tom Show, where the character was introduced to a national audience. Hastings soon became a regular guest on the show.
In addition to his regular comedy touring, Drew also headlines on "The Bob and Tom Comedy All-stars Tour."
Hastings' one-hour Comedy Central special, Irked and Miffed, debuted to over one million viewers in 2008, and remains a top-ranked online download.
Opening for Hastings at the Twin City Opera House will be fellow comedian and Bob and Tom Show regular, Jeff Bodart. Bodart is a regular in comedy clubs nationwide and has opened for acts such as Ron White, Tommy Chong and Louis CK.
Tickets are available locally at the Opera House, the Morgan County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau and at Ginny’s Flower Shoppe, all located in downtown McConnelsville.
