AAB Birder’s Tuesday on Climate Change: Impacts and Adaptation– with Aimee Delach
May 7, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Free“Climate change poses profound challenges to human and natural communities that are already seriously threatened by habitat loss, overexploitation of resources and pollution. This talk will describe some of the myriad ways that climate change affects wildlife and habitat – from severe weather and extreme drought, to sea ice loss, sea level rise, changes to habitat and food web, and the spread of invasive species and diseases – with an emphasis on impacts to bird species. The presentation will also discuss appropriate responses to this crisis, including both mitigation and adaptation to address the impacts effectively.”
