The Actors Guild of Parkersburg invites young performers to audition for the upcoming production of Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka JR., directed by Ashley Fluharty. Auditions will be held at the Actors Guild on Saturday, November 9, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and Sunday, November 10, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., with callbacks on Monday, November 11, if needed. Show Synopsis:
Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka JR. follows the eccentric candy maker Willy Wonka as he opens his factory doors to five lucky children who find golden tickets hidden in his famous candy bars. Inside, they encounter magical rooms and meet Wonka’s team of Oompa-Loompas, who help deliver life lessons. While four of the children behave selfishly and face quirky consequences, young Charlie Bucket and his Grandpa Joe bring heart to the story. The show explores themes of kindness, integrity, and the joy of imagination, making it a delightful experience for the whole family.
