Scripps College of Communication at Ohio University will host political strategist James Carville for a free public event on Monday, November 17, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Baker University Center Theatre.

Best known for managing Bill Clinton’s 1992 presidential campaign, Carville remains one of the most influential voices in American politics. Carville is a frequent author and commentator, offering his signature candid analysis and insight on campaign strategy and political communication.

The event will include a conversation between Carville and E.W. Scripps School of Journalism Assistant Professor Mark Turner, brief clips from the documentary “Carville: Winning is Everything, Stupid,” and a Q&A. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear Carville reflect on his life, his career, the role of media in politics, and his perspective on the current political landscape.

This event is free and open to the public. Community members, students, staff, and local media are encouraged to attend. Seating is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. A brief reception will follow.
