Rural Action, in collaboration with the Athens Asian American Alliance is excited to offer a hands-on workshop on growing and preparing locally sourced Asian vegetables. This engaging event will include a cooking demonstration, participant workshop, tasting session, and gardening presentation during which participants will discover the unique flavors and benefits of vegetables traditional to Asian dishes.

AAAA will show how to cook commonly available vegetables in various Asian ways, introduce a few climate-resilient Asian vegetable and legumes, as well as demonstrate how to cook various mushrooms. These dishes showcase the versatility and creativity that can be achieved through the use of Asian vegetables in cooking.

Lindsay Klaunig of Trouvaille Farm will provide locally grown vegetables and share her knowledge about at-home cultivation.
