Athens Conservancy Annual Wildflower Walk
April 13 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Spring is in the air, and precious wildflowers are popping up in the forests! Join us to view them in their glory at the 2024 Wildflower Walk.
Led by our wildflower enthusiasts, the walk starts at the Beaumont-Salina Trailhead near The Plains. We’ll walk along the Hockhocking Adena Bikeway, where we will be surrounded on both sides by plentiful spring wildflowers, including three species of trilliums, Virginia bluebells, blue-eyed Mary, several species of violets, Dutchman’s breeches, squirrel corn, woodland phlox, and more. After walking for about a mile or so, we’ll turn around and return to the parking area … though walkers are welcome to continue along the bikeway on their own.
Everyone is welcome. We’ll have a sign-in table by the parking area, but the event is free. If you have questions, send us an email at dawn@athensconservancy.org. We hope to see you there!
