This fall, the Athens High School Theater Program invites you to experience an evening of laughter, thrills, and extraordinary storytelling with two dynamic one-act plays, “10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse” and “A Simple Task.” Mark your calendars for Nov. 8 and 9 at 7 p.m., and a matinee on Nov. 10 at 2 p.m., held at the Athens High School Auditorium.
“10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse” explores the world on the brink of collapse, where zombies roam freely, and survival demands creativity and quick thinking. Will the characters try their luck with martial arts, attempt clever disguises, or maybe just sacrifice a friend or two? This comedic guide to surviving the undead promises to keep audiences on the edge of their seats—and laughing out loud.
The talented cast includes Madi Stein, Elle Carr, Alia Alloway, Angie Brenya, Beckett Stanford, Finn Walker, Thomas Fox, Jay Manley, Summer Forster, Audrey Jolley, June McQuade, and Ruby Callahan.
In “A Simple Task,” Empie finds that her first assignment at a new job—retrieving a box of merch—turns into a surreal and hilarious journey. As she faces a host of quirky characters, ever-shifting demands from her boss, and a seemingly endless cycle of complications, audiences will be drawn into her unexpected adventure where nothing is quite as straightforward as it seems.
The brilliant cast includes Harmony Radcliff, Eli Dantas-Biot, Silver Hart, Aari Giron, Issabella Larrow, Emily Parsons, Violet Sumney, Lucy Isaac, Leah Drogula, Finn Walker, and Kaya Fesenmyer.
Directed by Alexis and Kit Parsons, this production combines humor, creativity, and a touch of the unexpected, promising audiences an evening filled with laughter, suspense, and unforgettable performances.
