BASSics, A Hands on Workshop in Upright and Electric Bass at Arts West

A beginner friendly introduction to upright and electric bass, for ages 16 and up, presented by the SEO Musical Lending Library. Visiting musician Barbara Rosner, of Kentucky Wild Horse will lead Upright Bass Basics with instruction in hand position, playing in jams, ideas for practicing and how to improve. Mike Makosky, Athens local, of Apple and Moon, Goodbye Goats, and Unmonumental will lead Electric Bass Intro, teaching amp basics and volume, hand position, playing with others, and more. Both teachers have over 20 years of playing and teaching experience.
$12 Suggested Donation. Pre–registration is required to assure we have enough basses!
