Beginner Scottish dance class – four week series

Want to get your brain and body moving and meet new friends? Scottish Country Dance is a social dance form a bit like contra, but with more footwork. The name of the game is fun.
This four-week class meets every Sunday at the Athens Community Center between January 19 and February 9. Each week we’ll be building on the previous week’s session, so drop-ins aren’t possible. (However, if you need to miss a single class, you’ll be fine.)
Start at the very beginning, with no partner or experience necessary. If you can walk briskly, you can dance.
Cost: $20 for all four classes
Attire: Clothes you can move in. Sneakers or ghillies are great on your feet. Dresses, kilts, shorts, or yoga pants are all perfect.
