Biodynamic Gardening Series: Spring Equinox Session

Join Lead Naturalist Lawrence Greene for our Spring Equinox session of the Biodynamic Gardening Series, a hands-on gathering where we prepare the Soil, observe Seasonal rhythms, and work directly with the Land.
Guided by Rising Appalachia’s values of community, environmental stewardship, and cultural preservation, you’ll learn practical Biodynamic techniques you can use at home, while connecting with neighbors who care about the health of our Appalachian landscape. Throughout the year, we will be guided by the book, Culture and Horticulture, a philosophy of Gardening, by Wolf-Dieter Storl. Each time we gather, we will dive deeply into components of this philosophy in practical ways.
During this First Session, timed to align with the Spring Equinox, we will celebrate the beginning of the Growing Season by learning about the 4 elements, microcosm – macrocosm, and the alchemy of the Garden.
Donations are welcomed financially on a sliding scale, and/or by giving your time to help us shape the Garden we tend here on Solid Ground Farm.
