BURR OAK ALIVE! PRESENTS THE BEST DAM FESTIVAL

Tom Jenkins Dam, Glouster, Ohio, August 6 — Members of Burr Oak Alive! will be hosting the first annual Best Dam Festival at Tom Jenkins Dam, located at 23560 Tom Jenkins Dam Road, Glouster, Ohio. Activities begin at 10 a.m. and include nature bingo, Smokey the Bear, water safety and more from the Ohio Division of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Water Craft. Additional activities, including a Boat Poker Run, food trucks and other family activities will take place at other docks/ locations on Burr Oak Lake ending the day at Burr Oak Lodge. Burr Oak Alive! is a regional collaborative group dedicated to the revitalization of Burr Oak State Park. The mission is to preserve for future generations the truly unique natural attributes found in the Burr Oak State Park by promoting the preservation and protection of its resources and to encourage community and visitor participation in these efforts.
Burr Oak Alive! has 75 members and meets on the last Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at Burr Oak Lodge. The public is invited to attend any meeting at no cost. The cost to join is $5.00 to become a voting member.
