The Castle’s Annual Herb Day Luncheon – Featured Herb of the Year: “Coriander/Cilantro”

May 20, 2017 @ 11:30 am - 2:30 pm
$15

Today we think of “Cilantro” (aka Coriander) as a flavor used in Mexican cuisine, but did you know this herb has ancient roots? Evidence of coriander was found in the Egyptian tomb of King Tut, and in more “recent” history was introduced to the British colonies in North America around the time of 1670. In fact, coriander was one of the first spices cultivated by early settlers. Enjoy our imaginative take on this classical herb with this tasty luncheon in a wonderful historic setting.
