The Gathering Place presents their annual “Community Illumination” Benefit on Saturday, January 21 from 6pm-9pm at Central Venue on 29 E. Carpenter Street, Athens, Ohio. The event is an advocacy piece designed to raise awareness and bust stigma about mental illness and uses art as a vehicle to conduct outreach to our community about The Gathering Place’s programming and services.

The arts event will include member artwork for sale and member poetry, house band “The Gatherers” and special guests, the “Come On, Come Ons.” The event is free to the public and families are encouraged. Donations are welcome and will be taken at the door.
