Food History; Meals from The Pioneers

We’ll be recreating an iconic meal from David McCullough’s The Pioneers. In the book, Manasseh Cutler describes an elegant banquet held at “the president’s house” by invitation of Thomas Jefferson. Taste our interpretation of an iconic Jeffersonian meal and learn about the this food’s influence on American culture as well as the local historical connections to this federal level banquet.
