Work out your brain and body and meet new friends!

2 – 2:30 — Beginner half-hour and warmup. Absolutely no experience or partner necessary!

2:30 – 3:30 — Beginner/intermediate hour.

3:30 – 4 — Intermediate/advanced half hour. We’ll start learning one or two dances for the Pittsburgh ball!

Scottish Country Dance is a social dance form a bit like contra, but with more footwork. The name of the game is fun!

Who is this for: You! This class will be perfect if you’ve never danced before, if you’re a pro with patience, or for anyone in the middle. No partner needed. All folks 16+ are welcome! (And kids are welcome to attend the Irish ceili next door at the same time!)

Location: 70 N. Plains Road, The Plains. Turn at the McDonald’s and go into the Piggly Wiggly shopping center, entering the mini mall between the hardware store and dollar store. The dance studio is all the way at the back, marked OVSCDC.

Cost: Free, but we’re dancing in the space of a non-profit so I recommend donating $0 to $5 per session. (Please don’t let cost turn you away!)

Attire: Clothes you can move in! Sneakers or ghillies are great on your feet. Dresses, kilts, shorts, or yoga pants are all great. Masks are optional but encouraged since social distancing is not possible.
