Do you want to make this Halloween your best ever? Have an idea for a killer costume but aren’t sure how to build it?

Athens Makerspace can help you figure out how to Make your costume dreams come true!

In this class our costume expert will work with you to craft an ideation sketch and an action plan. At the end of this first class in our Costume Creation series, you will have a drawing of your idea and a materials list to hunt for.

Bring your ideas and photo references if applicable. This class will function as a drop-in time – come for an hour, or stay all day!

Then plan to attend our next session, Halloween Costume Creation II, on Saturday, October 19th to build your masterpiece! Basic machine sewing skills will be helpful to creating your costume, but not necessary.

To give you a head-start on your materials search, we will have an array of hand-selected, high-quality fabrics that we know would be just excellent for costumes available for sale.

Nellie Werger is a costume and clothing designer. She has 15 years of experience designing and creating costumes for Ohio Valley Summer Theater, and takes pride in reusing and upcycling pre-owned materials whenever possible.
