On Saturday, September 28, the Muskingum County Library in downtown Zanesville (220 N. Fifth Street) will host a candidates’ forum in the lower-level auditorium. Doors will open at noon for the public to have a chance to view literature tables with information from the candidates, issues, and both parties as well as information about voting procedures.

The program will start at 1:00 with a presentation from the Secretary of State’s office on voting security and procedures we need to know to make sure our vote is counted. Candidates running for the offices of County Commissioner, State Representative, and Congressional Representative are invited to share their plans if elected and take audience questions. In addition, representatives are invited to explain the positions of both sides of the state issue that, if passed, would change the way Ohio draws voting districts.

Know Your Ballot, Plan Your Vote is also sponsored by the Zanesville Business and Professional Women’s Club and the Muskingum County Social Justice Coalition. It is a non-partisan event organized with the goal of providing information to voters as early voting begins for this important 2024 election. Come prepared to ask questions!!
