Storyteller Susanna Connelly Holstein will speak on and perform ballads brought to the Appalachian Mountains by early European settlers.  Through oral tradition, these songs lived on in the region long after they had been forgotten in Europe.  Today, this musical legacy is being studied and treasured as part of Appalachian culture & history.
