Deb Root Shell will give a presentation about “The Lewis Brothers of Barlow Township, Washington County, and the 27th United States Colored Troops”.

Deb Root Shell holds a Master of Arts in History and a Master of Library Science.  She has researched her family history for over 45 years, particularly in Washington and Athens Counties, and is a member of numerous local history groups in those counties.  Deb is a genealogical author and lecturer and has published two volumes of transcriptions of original manuscripts:  The Civil War Rolls of Honor of Washington County, Ohio.
