Henry Woods will share his “Life as an Athens Resident” from the time of his birth to Emma Warner on May 2, 1952. Henry was a founding member and chairperson of the Athens Community Relations Commission. He also helped to found the committee that worked to erect the historical marker to commemorate the Berry Hotel and Edwin and Mattie Berry. He was a former board member and chairperson of Reuse Industries and a founder and current board member of the Mt. Zion Preservation Committee. After 28 years with Ohio University Recycling, he retired as its’ coordinator. He has also worked as a teachers’ aide at Athens High School and as a Boys’ Track Coach.
