MYPA’s The Nutcracker Opens

$12 – $24Muskingum Youth Performing Arts lights up the holiday season with The Nutcracker. This delightful holiday classic is performed at Secrest Auditorium Friday, November 23rd at 7pm, Saturday, November 24th at 2pm and 7pm, and on Sunday, November 25th at 2pm.
This visually stunning family-friendly production includes more than 100 local dancers under the direction of Whitney Lewis, Morgan Lothes, and Brian Grant.
The Nutcracker tells the tale of Clara, who is given a special Nutcracker Doll from her Uncle Drosselmeyer. Adventure awaits as her Nutcracker Doll transforms into a Prince who battles the fearsome Mouse Queen. Together, they defeat the Mouse Queen and begin a journey through the Land of the Snow.
With the the help of the beautiful Sugar Plum Fairy, Clara and her Nutcracker Prince travel to the Land of the Sweets where they are entertained by an Arabian Princess, Spanish Dancers, Chinese Dancers, and delicate Waltzing Flowers.
