How do you know when to use emergency medical services (EMS)? What are the steps involved when you dial 911, for help in an emergency? Time is critical in an emergency, along with working together with the professionals who are trying to help. Chief Rick Callebs from the Athens County EMS will share what you may experience when dialing 911 in an emergency, what information will be most helpful to communicate, and how we can work with the EMS team to work towards the best outcomes. Presented by: Chief Rick Callebs, Director of EMS for Athens County. UpBEAT (Be Educated and Active Together) is a program for those aged 55 years and over. Membership is free. To learn how you can join us virtually (by phone or technology device) or RSVP for attending the program in-person (RSVP taken on first come, first serve basis as space is limited), contact Caitlin Bond, UpBEAT Program Coordinator by phone at 740-566-4680 or e-mail at Caitlin.Bond@ohiohealth.com.
