A Reading with Fiction Writer Marjorie Celona

Join us for a reading with visiting fiction writer Marjorie Celona, presented by the Ohio University Program in Creative Writing. Book signing and reception to follow.

Marjorie Celona’s first novel, Y, was published in eight countries and won France’s Grand Prix Littéraire de l’Héroïne for Best Foreign Novel. Y was also shortlisted for the William Saroyan International Prize for Writing, a finalist for the Center for Fiction’s Flaherty-Dunnan First Novel Prize and the Dioraphte Jongerenliteratuur Prijs (Netherlands), and was selected as the #1 Indie Next Pick from IndieBound.

A graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, Marjorie has published stories, book reviews, and essays in The Best American Nonrequired Reading, The Southern Review, Harvard Review, The Sunday Times, and elsewhere. Born and raised on Vancouver Island, she lives in Oregon with her family, and teaches in the MFA program at the University of Oregon.
