Join us on Tuesday, October 1 in Athens for a presentation and discussion with GLAAD Award-winning LGBTQ journalist and author of ‘Real Queer America: LGBT Stories from Red States’, Dr. Samantha Allen.

Real Queer America follows Dr. Allen’s 2017 road trip across conservative states with one rule: do one queer thing a day. From Utah to Indiana and Texas to Georgia, Dr. Allen’s book speaks to rural queer people across the country and provides many parallels between Athens and other American towns.

Copies of Real Queer America will be available for sale by The Little Professor Book Center, both in their shop on Court Street and directly before the event at the Athena Cinema
