Celebrating Diversity with history, music, art, and a potluck lunch. It’s the annual Rendville reunion of those who grew up in this unique town – and all who celebrate diversity in 2019!
This year’s event honors residents Ted & Corlyn Altier… In 1997 Corlyn, Ted, and her Mom, Elizabeth Speake, purchased 3 pieces of property, on top of the hill past the old Rendville School. A Perry County auction was held to turn distressed parcels into tax generating properties. Ted is originally from Corning and grew up on the history of Rendville. Corlyn served as clerk/treasurer from 2000-2007 and was instrumental in restarting Emancipation Day. Ted served on council for over 5 years and he and Corlyn were always willing to go the extra mile for the community.
