Rural Landscape Quilt Workshop

When: Saturday, June 10th from 1-3 p.m.
Description: Participants will be introduced to a type of chalk painting that uses the proteins in milk to turn dry pastel chalks into rich mixable paint sticks! Each artist will be supplied with everything needed to create a beautiful fabric folk art landscape. 10X10” squares will become the “pallet” for each person’s rendition of our lovely Southeastern Ohio landscape. After the session the resulting quilt squares will be incorporated into an intriguing full size quilt that will depict the connection between ourselves and our land.
This quilt will be displayed at the Village Production’s Quilt Show June 16, 17 and 18.
Workshop is free, but we will be asking for a $10 donation to be used for the Coolville Elementary’s Art Program. Please email rubyshuby@gmail.com
