Seed Starting and Garden Planning for Beginners

February 24, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

Everyone is welcome to join us for this workshop as we gear up for the 2018 growing season!

John Wood of Homecoming Farm will share tried and true methods of starting various kinds of seeds to get a jump start on growing. He will also share a planning tool he developed for creating a sound budget for your garden, which will be especially useful to anyone hoping to earn some additional income from growing produce. Please let us know if you would like childcare for the event.

This workshop is FREE and open to anyone looking to learn more about starting a garden, or taking your current one to the next level.

Seed Starting and Garden Planning for Beginners is a part of the workshop series held by Rural Action’s Buckeye ISA project in partnership with The Ohio State University and the Kellogg Foundation. Families with children 8 and under are encouraged to participate in the Buckeye ISA project to receive individual support on creating income from their gardens and farms. They will also receive free non-invasive health screenings. Please contact Andrea Reany at andrea@ruralaction.org or (740) 677-4047.
