You will tour the graves and learn the stories of veterans who served in the Mexican War,  Civil War, and World War I who are buried on the grounds. We will observe the military symbolism that went into the design of the Asylum itself. Our tour guide will also share with  you the general history of the Asylum as well as the fascinating and touching stories of the patients and staff who made this institution famous.

This is a special tour in honor of Veterans Day and like all our Asylum Tours is a walking tour of the outside loop of the grounds including the cemeteries. Tours last approximately 2 hours and will be held rain or shine so please dress appropriately and bring rain gear if conditions apply.
