Registration is open for the 8th Startup Weekend Athens, hosted by the Ohio University Innovation Center Oct. 13-15. Startup Weekend is a global program of Techstars that teaches participants how to take a new business idea from concept to creation over a weekend. In just 48 hours, they will experience the highs, lows, fun, and pressure that make up life at a startup. As they learn how to create a real company, they’ll meet the very best mentors, investors, co-founders, and sponsors who are ready to help them get started.

Participants get the opportunity to:

·        Pitch an idea for a business

·        Meet talented and innovative people in SE Ohio

·        Learn from coaches with decades of experience

·        Create a prototype
