Back for its seventh year, the Wexner Center’s annual documentary film festival features an exciting roster of international filmmakers, from emerging talents Cecilia Aldarondo and Milisuthando Bongela to award-winning directors Christopher Harris and Želimir Žilnik. These directors and more will be joining us at the festival.
This year’s Unorthodocs highlights deeply personal stories—examinations of what it means to live in the world today from the perspective of filmmakers across the globe. While streaming has made documentaries more widely available, it’s also made many more corporate and formulaic. Unorthodocs invites you to experience narratives that unfold as they are being discovered, making for a daring, alive, and singular experience.
