Walking Stick Retreats leadership is a group of lifelong friends with the common characteristic of helping others in their spiritual growth who come together to offer individuals, from all over the United States, a weekend of worship, teaching, fellowship, connection to nature, relaxation, laughs discovery and friendship.

David Mullins, the younger brother of  Christian singer/songwriter Rich Mullins, has brought together our leadership team to come alongside folks, offering tremendous insight and the understanding that this world is not our home.

At each retreat, David, Sam, Kathy, Steve, Elizabeth and Damon, along with some other amazing friends, get to live out life in the midst of the Walking Stick community.  David’s teaching is deep, genuine, profound, simple and true.  Sam and Kathy guide and direct from their hearts and incredible training they have experienced throughout life.  Steve and Elizabeth bring us all into times of worship – sharing through music breathing restoration and joy, surrender and hope into the folks who have joined us for the weekend.

The opportunity is given for growing relationships, nurturing simplicity and unraveling complicated realities. Community is born at the retreats.

The theme for our fall retreat is ‘NEW!’.  Promises of the new covenant God gives us is important to the Walking Stick Retreat community. We will be digging deep into these promises.  We’ll consider the promises of God in a new identity, in a new power, in a new position and also in a new purity.

Come join us for a weekend to disconnect from the world.  Located in the beautiful Appalachian foothills, Cedar Lakes Conference Center offers a beautiful, serene setting.  From the hotel style rooms to the meeting spaces; from the trails to the covered bridge or the chapel on the lake; you will find a place and a space where you can be still and draw close to God and others in a personal way, ushering you into His presence.

Cost of the retreat is $350.00 which covers 6 meals, 2 nights lodging (double occupancy) and all retreat programming. If an individual would prefer to have a private room, that is available for $450.00 to cover the additional expense.

The registration begins at 8:00 a.m. on Friday morning, October 8^th with the first session starting around 9:30 a.m.  We wrap up on Sunday morning, October 10^th, around 11 a.m.
