Have you heard of biogas and wondered if you could turn your own food scraps and other organic wastes into FREE cooking fuel?

Now you can! In this introductory lecture-format class, students will learn the principles behind biogas production, and the basics of how to construct an anaerobic methane digester and gas collection system based upon a 55-gallon drum.

Based upon attendance at this workshop, we have plan to schedule a digester construction workshop where you can build your very own digester to take home!

Kyle Look is co-owner of Squeaky Duck Farmstead, a local farm and market garden focusing on sustainability and innovation. He has been producing biogas in his backyard successfully for nearly 4 years.
