WildCat Hollow Guided Hike
April 8, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Join Rural Action’s Sunday Creek Watershed Group for a guided hike along the Wayne National Forest’s scenic Wildcat Hollow trail. The hike will take place on Saturday April 8th beginning at 9 am and finishing up by noon. We will meet at the trailhead at 9 am.
This trail consists of meadows, quiet streams, ridgetops, rock outcrops, dense deciduous forest and pine plantations. The guided hike will consist of a tour of the land, identifying wildflowers that have emerged and bird species as we see them. Please dress for the weather including boots and bring water and snacks for yourself. A good field guide and a pair of binoculars would be a great tool to have! Do not miss out on this exciting opportunity!
Directions to the location: Follow State Route 13 north towards Corning, at Irish Ridge Road (CR 16) take a right, follow Irish Ridge as it veers to the left just after your turn off 13, following brown signs for Wildcat Hollow Hiking Trail; another right on Township road 298, this will ultimately take you to the trailhead and camping area. There are signs posted along the roadsides giving direction to the trailhead as well. We should arrive back to the vehicles by noon that day.
