Get “school ready, health steady” on Saturday, August 16, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Vinton County High School at this event organized by the Vinton County Health Department.

WOUB Learning Lab will be at the event with educational activities and free books.

Other participants include:

Help Me Grow – car seat evaluations, early childhood activities, book bags
WIC – popcorn, water, handing out stickers and educational materials
Public Health – COVID home tests, educational materials
PORT (Post Overdose Response Team) – Narcan and educational materials
Environmental Health – mosquito repellent bracelets and educational materials

This event will feature free fun and wellness resources for the whole family. Specific activities include:

• Mark Wood fun show
• Bounce houses
• Health screenings
• Emergency vehicles on display
• Drawing and art projects
• free hot dogs, popcorn, and snow cones
• School supplies from the Gallia-Vinton Educational Service Center
