Appalachian Theater Group Gives Dickens Classic A Regional Twist

When audiences gather at Stuart’s Opera House from Dec. 13-22 to see An Appalachian Christmas Carol, they will experience a new holiday play that was written for, and is native to, the region. In this new adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic holiday story, Guysville playwright Merri Biechler has spun a tale that is newly relevant to Appalachian Ohio.
