A Washington County project expected to create 25 jobs got a boost of funding from the Ohio Department of Development.
The agency awarded the Southeast Ohio Port Authority a $250,000 Community Development Block Grant for the Ingenuity Center Business Incubator project.
The project will construct a building to assist in attracting companies in the temperature-controlled cabinet industry in research and medical fields. The grant money will help with construction costs.
A Department of Development spokeswoman says 13 of the 25 jobs created will be for low- to moderate-income individuals.
