Court Street Closure Slated for Sept. 29

A portion of Court Street in Athens will be closed to motorists and foot traffic Thursday morning.

The City of Athens will install a fire suppression tap on a stretch of the street between Washington Street and West State Street.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area.

Work will begin at 8 a.m. and will run until the installation is complete -- no word on how long the project will take.
